24th. Three pro title fights on the line featuring George Castro vs Brandon Quigley,
Nate Hernandez vs Oscar Granados and Joe "The Rottweiler" Torrez vs Hugh Ruiz. 12
fight amateur under card with local favorites Art Mesa, Adam Apodaca, Richard Jacquez,
Peter Gonzalez and Lloyd Marshall.
Tickets are $21.50 in advance with a 50% discount

Jacksons FIGHTers John Dodson & Marcus Foran Ready for UWC Feb. 21 2009
New Mexico FIGHTers John Dodson & Marcus Foran will be heading out to Fairfax VA
on February 21, 2009 to compete at the UWC “Man o War” Event. Marcus Foran’s Opponent
has not been named at this point, but once the information is posted NMF will let
you know. Jahani Curl John Dodson’s Manager informed NMF that John will be taking
on Jose Villarisco out of Lloyd Irvin's MMA Gym in Maryland. We spoke briefly with
John about his upcoming fight and he is anxious and ready to get back in the cage.
John did mention he was looking forward to a rematch with Mike Easton who will be
headlining the UWC Event against former 2x WEC Champion Chase Bebe for the UWC Bantamweight
World Championship. Mike Easton defeated John Dodson by a controversial split decision
on October 11, 2008 at the UWC “Confrontation” Event. Although John does Not get
the rematch he was looking for we are sure John is ready and will be looking to finish
the fight in great fashion.

Desert Xtreme Back in Action on January 30, 2009
The upcoming show in Alamogordo will have two Desert Xtreme Titles up for grabs.
155 champion undefeated fighter Ryan Sandoval will face Alamogordo local Donnie Martinez.
Desert Xtreme 125 #1 contender will face off against Desert Xtreme #3 contender Anthony
Sessions for the vacant 125 lb belt.
Monica Lovato New Mexico's superstar boxing sensation
will be brought in for the first time to the cage by trainer and manager Tom Vaughn
against an opponent still yet to be determined.
12 or more fights will be on the card.
Event will be January 30, 2009 at the Sgt. Willie Estrada Civic Center in Alamogordo New Mexico. Doors open at 6pm and the FIGHTs start at 7pm.

Since 2002 in the fight game. Promoting since 2003
2. What are your long term goals with your events?
Feeding my kids
3. What are your biggest challenges as a promoter?
Politics between fighters, promoters, and schools. Seems like everyone has their own idea about integrity. I have succeeded this long because I do and mean what I say. I take the high road every chance I have an opportunity to make a choice.
4. What are your thoughts on MMA in New Mexico?
We are the hot bed of talent. As I wrote in Grappling Magazine back in 2004, .............

Albuquerque MMA will be bringing you the first annual Mixed Martial Arts Awards Show! February 7th 2009 be apart of the fastest growing sport in the world. You will see a awards show like no other. With UFC,WEC,King Of The Cage and many local fighters up for awards this will be a night history is made for MMA in New Mexico. This will be a formal dress event, so you will need to dress to impress. Due to the volume of people wishing to attend you will only be able to attend the show by invite or by purchasing tickets online before January 15th 2009. Local Favorite and FITNHB Fighter Donald Sanchez
1. How long have you been involved with MMA?
I have been involved since december 10, 2005. my first fight and my first practice, just hopped in with natural talent.
2. How did you find yourself at FITNHB?
I found myself getting bigger fights and higher competition and realized i needed real trainers and training partners, so i went to the real deal...... FITNHB
3. What is a typical Day of training like for you?
Five days a week i wake up and do my cardio(which is swimming laps for about an hour
or so), 10am i have a practice(twice a week is one on one stand up with Arlene, twice
a week is wrestling) about 430 is the next practice for a couple hours(depending
on the day is what practice-
4. Do you have any heroes in the sport?
I dont really have any heroes, i have respect for everyone that does/coaches what i do.
5. What is your motivation?
My kids, and my dream to be the best.
6. Your last few MMA bouts you have been dominant, when is your next fight and who will be against?
my next fight is Feb. 26 in California, i will be fighting Victor Valenzuela aka Joe Boxer for the King of The Cage 160lb world title
7. What are your long term goals for your career?
to be the best
8. Is their any local or national talent that you would like to compete against?
I would like to compete against the best, of cours i have some growing to do, but i will get there, so if the competition is here or there, im game.
9. What are the biggest challenges of being an MMA Fighter?
Injuries are always a challenge, im the type to work through them rather it hurts or not, i dont like to take breaks though, i have a lot to learn.
